Maveth's first full-lenght album included their debut EP and demo, but since they seemed very determined about clear and high quality sound, the difference is minimal. "Breath of an Abomination" sounds quite unitified.
The modern style of death metal they played was pretty actual that time and could lead back to Immolation as it's main source. That means a very intense themes and speed, that's closely related to brutal death with slight blackened touch and stronly blasphemous concept assisted by deep growling vocals. Their music could be compared to bands like Dying Fetus, Vital Remains or Azarath. Maveth didn't play so complex and technical themes like most bands in the style, though they preferred frequent speed and theme changes too, but similar to the others they also built on overwhelmingly brutal main effect in it's purest form with some short melodic lead assistance. From a debuting band it does sound quite complex and stunning though, and it suspects experienced band members with longer musical past. On the demo songs some Incantation influence also could be sensed. For the fans of the modern sound of the genre "Breath of an Abomination" certainly cannot disappoint.
