Antagonized - Intense Perversion (2010)

Antagonized's one and only album was like a diverse and enjoyable old school death metal journey that sometimes might show sympathy with brutal death and goregrind tendencies, but by not letting to be tempted, strictly keeps staying on old school rails.
The band proved plenty times that they can play fast, and even to grind, and their sound and the vocal performance definitely reminds to way more exaggerated styles. Still, they always preferred to return to simpler middle speed themes and thrashy hammering. The album starts quite intense, but with time slow downs are becoming more dominant, and more classic references are showing up in short leading themes. Later the grinding brutality keeps returning in "Witch Hunt" combined with insanely great solo theme that could make jelous even the biggest names in thrash metal. This switching diversity suspects that the members had different musical influences, but the combination of the themes worked out well, the album was unified, and the way how it was pieced together, proved to be advantageous for all of the involved various musical aspects. This showed a lot of potential in the band, and made it kind of impossible to describe "Intense Perversion" as another boring death metal album that offers nothing new.
