"Macabre Finding" does have the quality and features of old school death metal, but they doesn't have the most determining role. In general, the album prefers a softer, middle speed approach, that could be more relatable with groovy or melodic death metal. In their themes there are slight doom and black metal influences to sense too, and not by any raw experimenting approach, they sound more like direct influences. So even though the old school concept is kinda unquestionable, its implementation is more relatable to how most new waved old school bands doing it. By not trying to imitate or recreate vintage sound, not intending to live with evident references to exact scenes, bands or eras, just trying to use up well known features for their own way of self-expression. Necrofagore's music by its not too extreme form might be audience friendlier than how death metal used to be in general, but yet not crossing any borders to become groovy or melodic death metal. It could be more accurate to sort it to a category like "death metal for those who aren't really into death metal". Compatible with the audiences of bands like Morbid Angel, Benediction, Lay Down Rotten, or Necrophobic.
