Decomposed had a quite enjoyable debut by following the other alternative if it's about old schol death metal in the Swedish scene.
From their music that kind of strongly thrash based archaic sound waves back, that could have been experienced from bands like Death Breath, Bastard Priest, or Tormented. Similar to Tormented, Decomposed is not uneffected by the more traditional tendencies of their local scene, but the band preferred to build on intensity instead of the usual primitive approach and buzzsaw sound. Still, the other essential part, sounding quite primitive and rude, remained as a main feature. After their simple but catchy themes, plenty of classics could be mentioned as possible influences, but the main feeling is close to bands like Autopsy, early Pestilence or Cancer. This effects quite nostalgic and also refreshing, according to the usual local tendencies. By frequent slow downs the effectiveness of their putrid sound also gets remarkable role. However, despite playing pretty old school themes and recalling the long lost spirit of the early '90s, Decomposed didn't try to recreate the accurate sound of that era. Therefore, unlike the front-rankers of this direction, their music cannot be confusing like if it was a forgotten relic from the '90s. It's clear that Decomposed's music is an excellent modern reinterpretation of that era.
