Diabolikal Holokaust - Diabolikal Holokaust (2013)

Diabolikal Holokaust had a quite nostalgic and exaggeratedly blasphemic thrash/black debut.
At one hand it was kind of a vintage approach, cause the influences of bands like Sarcófago and Sadistik Exekution are evident since the beginning. The first by the style pick, the intensity that surpasses ordinary thrash/black metal, and the strong analogy in themes. And the second by the extreme nihilism and disharmony that's piercing through the album. It's almost like if Sarcófago in it's roughest period ("Rotting") just tried to keep up intensity as long as possible. In this raw form, the music isn't too far from war metal, and in fact, the main concept and the visuals are pretty relatable. Still, Diabolical Holokaust is like a step behind, probably because old school sound could also have been a main preference. Therefore even more antic, simple thrash/punk-like themes also often showing up for short term to increase the effectiveness of the intense insanity. By this raw form, the album has typical Latin American spirit. And in this case it means being extremely explicit and sacrilegious, brutally intense, seemingly knowing no borders, and trying to reflect the stereotypical opposite of morality. The reason, why this aspect cannot be confused with anything else, or to be more accurate, why similarly vile music rarely could be heard from other regions, probably lies in the social background. An endlessly corrupted and hypocrite system, that's preaching about morality in public, but unable or unwilling to stand up against the unjust cruelty of everyday's life. And the lack of consequences sanctifying the oppressing majority of immorality. An environment like this have stimulating and inspiring effect for the extreme metal scene, even if it's rarely mentioned.
